Communication & Balance Communication (1 day program)

Description: Foundation Skills (2)

Duration: 1 Day
Next Program: tba
Cost: $550.00

This course teaches participants how and why they should understand and use communication as a tool for process and relationship management. It contains a mixture of background and process theory, skills teaching and practical exercises.

In addition to presenting the latest theory and practices in "standard" communication we introduce our own concept of "Balance Communication". This is a unique and evolutionary advance on standard communication practice - born out of our extensive experience of managing difficult and complex communications, and the broad research and extra training we've undertaken ourselves to help answer our own questions and to make us more effective in our work.

Learning Objectives

As with all TSG training, this course is customised to address the individual circumstances and needs of individual participants, and of individual businesses, organisations, professions and industries.

Participants should enhance their ability to analyse and understand the influences that affect every stage in every communication.

They should also acquire knowledge, techniques and skills that will enable them to manage and direct communications with and for others, significantly more effectively, in most situations.

Hierarchy of Skills - Position in Skills Development Program

This is a Level (2) course. In the overall scheme of our progressive skills development program it comes after: (1) Problem Solving & Decision Making and before: (3) Negotiation.

When we run this course as a standalone module (optional), we also cover Problem Solving & Decision Making - how could we do otherwise? The way we see things, if you don't know how to analyse and solve problems, and/or you don't know how to make and act on your own decisions, you simply can't communicate effectively. How could you - if you don't know that there is actually a point to your communication?
